Accessibility
Last reviewed: September 29, 2026
Cosmore is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, speech input, or any other assistive technology. Accessibility is part of how the site is built, not something added at the end.
1. Conformance status
We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act guidance and by New York State and City accessibility requirements.
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that most of the site meets the standard, and that some parts — listed under Known limitations below — do not yet, or have not yet been fully verified.
2. What we have done
- Colour and contrast. Every text and interface colour used across the site has been measured against its background. Body text, secondary text, links and buttons meet or exceed the 4.5:1 ratio required for normal text; large headings and interface elements meet or exceed 3:1.
- Structure. Pages use real headings, lists, landmarks and page titles, so their structure can be understood by a screen reader and used for navigation.
- Keyboard. Interactive elements are native buttons, links, form fields and dialogs wherever possible. A visible focus outline is shown on every focusable element, and menus, tabs, carousels and dialogs can be operated with the arrow keys, Enter and Escape.
- Forms that work without JavaScript. Contact, registration, login, password, newsletter and guide request forms are ordinary HTML forms. Each field has a visible label, and errors are shown next to the field they belong to, in text.
- Images. Photographs that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology so they are not announced.
- Motion. The animated sections of the site — such as the team carousel — stop when the pointer is over them or when something inside them receives focus, and do not move at all for visitors whose system asks for reduced motion.
- Zoom and small screens. The site can be enlarged to 200% and used on a narrow screen without loss of content or horizontal scrolling.
3. Known limitations
We would rather say what is not finished than claim more than we can support. At present:
- Manual testing is still in progress. Our colour, structure and markup checks are complete and automated. A full manual review with a screen reader (VoiceOver, NVDA) and keyboard-only navigation of every page has not yet been completed.
- Property listings come from the MLS. Photographs, descriptions and property details are supplied by Miami REALTORS and other multiple listing services. We control how that content is presented, but we cannot add or correct the text alternatives and wording that other brokerages provide. Where a listing is missing a description or a photograph, the page may be less informative than the rest of the site.
- Maps. The neighbourhood map on a property page is a visual, interactive component. The places it shows are also listed as text beneath it, with their distance, so the same information can be read without using the map; the map itself is not fully operable by keyboard.
- Video. Videos hosted on the site and videos embedded from YouTube or Vimeo do not all have captions or transcripts yet. We are adding them.
- Documents. PDF guides offered for download have not been remediated for accessibility. If you need the content of a guide in another format, ask us and we will send it to you.
4. How we test
This statement is based on a self-evaluation carried out in September 2026. We tested with automated tools — axe and HTML CodeSniffer, run against every page template — together with manual inspection of the markup and calculated contrast ratios. Accessibility is checked again whenever a new section of the site is built.
5. Compatibility
The site is built to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile, used together with the assistive technology available on those platforms. It relies on JavaScript for some conveniences — live search suggestions, dialogs, carousels — but the underlying content and every form remain usable without it.
6. Tell us if something does not work
If you meet a barrier on this website, or you need information that is on it in a different format, please tell us. Describe the page and what happened; if you can, tell us which browser and assistive technology you were using.

We aim to reply within five business days. If a barrier stops you from completing something — reaching an agent, requesting a valuation, sending an enquiry — tell us what you were trying to do and we will help you do it another way while we fix the page.
7. Fair housing
Cosmore is committed to equal housing opportunity. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law. Making this website usable by people with disabilities is part of that commitment, not separate from it.
