Sunset Park must-see: oversized one-bedroom in a classic parkside Finnish co-op.

This gut-renovated beauty was converted from a two-bedroom to create an open, elegant retreat. Located on the quiet courtyard of this gated complex, unit 25 is just two flights up -- but feels miles away from the city.

The extensive renovation opened the kitchen to the living room, and incorporated a second bedroom as a dining room/workspace. The doorways were lifted to make the space feel higher, taking advantage of the great natural light, and the original parquet floors were stained a warm white, further reflecting the light.

The bedroom is a true retreat. Soft light bathes the room, while a custom closet creates generous storage in a compact space. The windowed bath is accessible from both the bedroom and the dining area. Expert tilework echoes the pre-war tile found throughout the building, and bespoke millwork warms the room and provides even more storage.

Custom millwork in the well-fitted kitchen creates a perfect cooking counter. A hanging system in the hallway is designed to keep all your daily gear organized, and the expanded closet hall continues to maximize storage.

Electrics and plumbing were fully upgraded with the renovation.
Are you ready for Sunset Park? Its all right here: A restored 1936 swimming pool, steps from your home. Caf Zona Sur. LWren. Brooklyn Chinatown. Diners, donuts and tacos. Melody Lanes. Green-Wood. And of course, Industry City.

Please note this is a cat-friendly building. The current rules do not permit dogs.
