327 W 83RD Street #4A

Step into a kitchen that stops you in your tracks. Gut-renovated and sculptural, it's anchored by a waterfall marble island that feels more art object than appliance - the undisputed centerpiece of this prewar one-bedroom. Down the hall, an equally transformed bathroom continues the story: moody and dramatic, with a deep soaking tub and a window seat that turns bathing into its own quiet retreat, all finished with the same uncompromising craft. Around it all, original prewar detail and natural light from abundant windows strike a rare balance - old-world soul, brand-new bones.
327 West 83rd Street is the kind of building that doesn't come around often: an intimate, six-story prewar cooperative holding just 24 residences, built in 1910 and quietly beloved for its boutique scale. Elevator access, a central laundry room, and a bike room bring modern ease. Of course it is all pet-friendly, with subletting and pied-à-terre use permitted.
The setting matches the home: a beauriful, quiet, tree-lined block moments from the calm of Riverside Park and the Hudson River esplanade, with the 1/2/3 trains at 79th and 86th Streets close by, and the Upper West Side's best restaurants, markets, and shops all within easy reach.
Live in the center of the Upper West Side's gold coast and enjoy the very best of New York City.
