Boca Raton, in southern Palm Beach County about 45 miles north of Miami, was developed from the 1920s by Addison Mizner in a Mediterranean Revival style and has about 97,000 residents (2020 Census). Mizner Park and the Boca Raton Museum of Art anchor downtown, and the city is home to Florida Atlantic University and Lynn University.
It has public beaches at Red Reef Park, South Inlet Park and Spanish River Park, and gated communities such as the Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club. A Brightline station opened in December 2022, and a Tri-Rail station serves the west side of I-95.
